Lesson Policy & Barn Rules

Please take a moment to read through our lesson policy and barn rules carefully. Familiarizing yourself with these guidelines helps ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment for all riders, instructors, and horses. Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

  • Lessons are invoiced at the beginning of each month to secure your scheduled spot. Payment is due by the 3rd of the month; a $50 late fee will be applied to any account not paid by this date. All payments are non-refundable.

Please note that we do not prorate or adjust monthly billing.

  • Cancellation & Makeup Lesson Policy

    • Please do not attend your lesson if you are ill. I am happy to reschedule your session when you are feeling better.

    • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a makeup lesson.

    • Makeup lessons must be used within 30 days of the originally scheduled lesson date.

    • No-shows are not eligible for a makeup lesson.

    • Arriving 20 minutes late or more will be considered a no-show and will not qualify for a makeup.

    • Lesson times do not extend beyond the scheduled end time. For example, a 12:00–1:00 PM lesson will still end at 1:00 PM, even if the rider arrives late.

    • Makeup lessons are offered based on availability and may be scheduled one time only.

  • Riders are required to wear appropriate attire at all times while on the property. This includes pants, a short- or long-sleeve shirt, and closed-toe shoes. Crop tops, tank tops, shorts, and open-toe footwear are not permitted.

For safety and professionalism, the barn manager also requests that family members or guests remaining on-site during the lesson follow the same dress guidelines, including wearing closed-toe shoes and avoiding crop tops, tank tops, short shorts, or other non-barn-safe clothing.

  • The barn is a private facility. For safety and security reasons, all visitors must be accompanied by an Eagle Hill Farm staff member at all times while on the property.

    • Guests may not walk the property unaccompanied to avoid being mistaken for trespassers.

    • Please refrain from petting, feeding, or visiting any horses that are not part of the EHF program. Horses can bite, may have unknown health concerns, and contact with multiple horses can unintentionally spread illness.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and respectful environment for all horses and riders.
